It is about time for the Minnesota State Fair so I sent Piritta this postcard by Adam Truman:

Piritta mentioned that she liked Peanuts characters, I did not have any postcard of them, but I do have these photos of statues that were on display around Minneapolis/St. Paul in the early part of this decade (maybe 2002-ish?). I hope these make up for not being able to send a postcard with them on it.:

Olli-Pekka says that he likes owls. I think that this is a great postcard of a Great Grey Owl. I hope he enjoys it! I only remember seeing one once. It was about 25 years ago. I looked out of the window and saw one sitting on a fence post. It was very cool.

The Paul Bunyan State Trail runs between Brainerd and Bemidji, MN. I found this postcard on a trip to Nisswa, MN, which lies on the trail. In the cartoon you can see Paul, Babe the Blue Ox and Paul's girlfriend Lucette(?). It seems to me that Babe is getting the best part of that deal!

I just loved this postcard of songbirds and flora. I especially liked the lilacs! I think I have seen most of these birds in my backyard. Most I only see for a day or two in the spring/fall though. I hope that Milla enjoys them!

My postcard to Anne in the Netherlands arrived. My next postcard is going to Jo in Finland. I am very excited about sending this postcard. Yesterday I was digging through some old boxes when I found two of these postcards. I don't remember buying them, but they look so much like my late cat Bobo I am sure that is why I have them. (They look like Walter too, but they predate him.) I thought when I saw them that I would wait to send one to the perfect person. Well, today when I read what Jo likes in a postcard it said that she likes black and white cat photos. I knew she was the one!

Look at the pretty winter day that Anni sent me! I love when the trees are all covered like that. Anni saw that I was attempting to learn Finnish and wrote her card in both Finnish and English. That was so cool of her! It really helps me to see how the words should go together. Mind you I only know about 130 words and phrases, but all help is welcome!!

I received this postcard from Minna in Finland today. (This is a different Minna from the one I sent a postcard to a week or so ago.) I have listed on my Postcrossing account that I love pictures of churches, but I really love pictures of nuns/religious! So this is so perfect. These nuns are from the Lintula Convent.
