It amazes me how long it takes a postcard to get to and from Brazil. For some reason I see it as being fairly close, but of course it is not. This postcard from Tiago took about 20 days to arrive. I had never heard of Círio de Nazaré before. This is why I love Postcrossing!.

I really love this postcard. I think it is that ubiquitous goose just sitting there. Of course usually it is a thousand geese standing there, but the one just standing there as if he owns the place just makes me smile.

This is the second time I have used this image and both times are for firsts. The very first postcard that I sent out, to Jessie in Belgium, was this card and now it is my first direct send of a card too. Luis Carlos and Leila said that they liked beach scenes, well this is what the beaches will soon look like here! I think it is quite beautiful, I just love it when the trees get all iced up like that.
