To Zhou in China

I just had to send this postcard today. It so looks like the world outside here today.

Direct Postcard To Thomas in Germany

Oh shoot! I sent this postcard off to Thomas before noting the name of the artwork. I know that it is at the Minneapolis Museum of Art, but I can not find it on their website. I believe it is called, "The Landscape". It is one of my favorites. I love the way the different blocks of wood work together to form lines and shapes.

From Lorenah in Brazil

What a pretty garden picture from Brazil. I really enjoy glass structures such as greenhouses and atriums. Thank you!

From Thomas in Germany (Direct Swap)

I received this postcard of "The Stages of Life" by Casper David Friedrich today from Thomas in Germany. I have read that painters like to use triangle shapes and this painting really empathizes that. Thank you Thomas!

To Marion in the Netherlands

My postcard to Jolijn arrived and my new address was again to the Netherlands. I choose this postcard based on Marion's profile. I knew I had used it before, but I didn't realize at first that I had also sent it to Sonja in the Netherlands. I do love the card. I hope Marion does too!

To André in Germany

One postcard to Germany arrives and now I am sending another. I think Germany is winning on the number of postcards sent and received! I have sent this postcard before, but I love it so much I keep buying it. I like that you can see the Basilica of St. Mary's and the downtown skyline. It is amazing how the photographer was able to mask the huge highway between the garden and the church!

To Tiago in Brazil (Direct Swap)

I was contacted today by Tiago in Brazil for a direct swap. I really like this Minneapolis postcard. I like the little snippets of scenes. Of course, it is also a very common postcard form. I hope he enjoys it.

To Svetlana in the United Kingdom

My postcard to Hungary sort of made it, so now I am sending a postcard to Svetlana in the United Kingdom. What do I mean by the Hungary card "sort of" making it? Well it had been over two weeks, so I contacted Ardrienn and asked if there was a problem. She is not at home right now, so she registered the card without seeing it. I hope that it really got there! Thank you Adrienn for helping me out!

Isn't this a pretty snowy Minnesota card. It is way too cold for open water here now, but we still see the frosted trees. I hope Svetlana enjoys it!

From Clint in Quebec (Personal)

I was so excited when I saw this card in the mail yesterday. I thought I had a new Postcrossing card, but when I read the back it was a card from my husband's best friend. It is really pretty though, so I thought I would post it here anyway.

From Katja in Germany

It has been 6 days sent I sent or received a postcard! Today, however, I received this lovely card from Katja. It is from Hildesheim, Germany. There are even several churches on it, so cool. Thanks Katja!

To Meschede in Germany

My postcard arrived in Spain! Yay! That took a little longer than I expected. My new address was to Meschede in Germany. She likes city views, so I am sending her this one of downtown Minneapolis. I hope that she likes it.

From Christina in Austria

This is my first postcard from Austria. It looks like a quaint village to visit. I love that there is a church smack dab in the middle of the town! I guess you see that here, but usually the town is smaller. (Or so it seems.) Thank you Christina!

To Milla in Finland

I just loved this postcard of songbirds and flora. I especially liked the lilacs! I think I have seen most of these birds in my backyard. Most I only see for a day or two in the spring/fall though. I hope that Milla enjoys them!

To Jolijn in The Netherlands

I found this postcard of Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox and I just could not resist it. I remember driving past similar statues on the way to my Aunt's house in Brained, MN. They have moved those statutes now to Paul Bunyan land, but they used to be right on the road to her house. I hope that Jolijn enjoys it!

To Ka in Russia (Direct Swap)

Ka said that she likes lighthouses, so I am sending her this postcard from Two Harbors. Rodney and I went to see this lighthouse on our honeymoon in 2008. We learned that you can spend the night in the lighthouse now. How fun would that be? We have it planned for a future trip.

To Thomas in Germany (Direct Swap)

It has been snowing like crazy here, so I thought I would send this postcard to Thomas. He has mentioned that they do not have a lot of snow where he lives. There are times when I wish I could say that about where I live!

From Sonja in the Netherlands (Direct Swap)

Sonja didn't know it, but she tapped into secret passion of mine. Royal Watching. This postcard shows Princess Maxima and Prince Willem-Alexander (behind her to the left). AND it has a windmill, how cool is that? Thank you Sonja!

From Thomas in Germany (Direct Swap)

Look! Another postcard from Thomas. This one is so cool. It is of Eberbach Abby. You might be more acquainted with this Abby than you think. Have you seen the movie "The Name of the Rose"? Then you have seen a bit of the interior. They used this Abby when they filmed interior shots for the movie. Thank you Thomas!

From Jutta in Germany

This postcard made me giggle! There is just something about these tubby flying angels that I love. They seem so joyful! Thank you Jutta!

To Maria in Russia (Direct Swap)

I am doing a direct swap with Maria from Russia. She sent me this lovely postcard and in return I am sending her this one of Downtown Minneapolis. Is that the 65/Central/3rd Ave bridge? Rodney and I have been debating that. I hope that Maria enjoys it.

From Maria in Russia

Wow! Isn't the Cathedral of St. Basil the Blessed in Moscow beautiful. (The back of the postcard actually says that "the Blassed", but I am thinking that they mean "the Blessed".) Maria says that it is a museum now. I so want to go! Thanks Maria!

From Ka in Russia

Today I got two postcards from Russia. Both are of beautiful churches. The first is from Ka. It is of "The Temple of the Virgin of Mercy" in Vladivostok. Isn't it a jewel of a building? Thank you Ka!

From Hank in Taiwan

I received a postcard today from Hank in Taiwan. The photo is of Sun Moon Lake. Pretty isn't it? It is named Sun Moon Lake because it is shaped like a quarter moon and a sun sitting next to each other. Thank you Hank!

To Jo in Finland

My postcard to Anne in the Netherlands arrived. My next postcard is going to Jo in Finland. I am very excited about sending this postcard. Yesterday I was digging through some old boxes when I found two of these postcards. I don't remember buying them, but they look so much like my late cat Bobo I am sure that is why I have them. (They look like Walter too, but they predate him.) I thought when I saw them that I would wait to send one to the perfect person. Well, today when I read what Jo likes in a postcard it said that she likes black and white cat photos. I knew she was the one!

To Adrienn in Hungary

After 12 days my postcard to Patricia in Germany arrived! Yay! (I was a bit worried it had been lost to tell the truth.) My new address was for Adrienn in Hungary. A couple of the things she likes are ads and cards that look older. I hope that this one fits the bill. I thought it was kind of fun when I saw it. I had been looking for Christmas themed postcards, you would not believe how hard they are to find, when I found this one. I am not a big PEZ fan, but I am sure that they cost more than 25 cents for 2!
